Diet Analyzer
Recipe Question? Please help?
I’m currently on a low fat/low Carb Diet. I have some recipes that I need to know how much fat/carbs are in the recipe. So far I’ve used like 3 different recipe analyzers to find out the fat/carb content and I get 3 totally different answers so I don’t know which one to believe. The recipe analyzers I’ve been using are:

So my question is which one is more accurate? If the ones I have listed aren’t accurate then is there one that is accurate? I know that there are programs out there that you can buy but I don’t want to buy one.
But how do you figure it yourself?
I happen to like Spark People best, is the easiest to use. And yes, I have used all three of the ones you have listed.
Unless you are on .25 unit of instant insulin increments, don’t worry too much about the exact accuracy of grams of carb.
Low Fat and Low Carb do not work!! Quit with worrying about the low fat! or you will starve half to death. Fats sate the appetite and keep us happier for a lot longer! Do keep the fats lower, but don’t worry about them too much.
Government statistics show that there is not any appreciable difference in heart disease in the 50+ years we have been advised to use oils instead of butter. It is about one half of one percent difference!
Just get your glucose numbers in control and the lipids will usually fall in line too!
I serve all dressings, gravies, etc on the side. We use less of the good dressings that way so cut the fat in half and make salads taste really good.
