I lost my contraceptive pill two days before the pack finished?

I decided to leave the normal seven days before I start the next pack, does that render the pill ineffective and if so for how long?

Hi yes it does you should of started using the next pack straight away without any gap now that you have started taking the next pack i think you should go to your family planning clinic or GP as usually you would have to wait for your next period and start from scratch again this has to be a natural one with no pills but i would get medical advice just to be on the safe side as it sounds like you do not want any children yet.
